About Daniela Olariu

Daniela is an experienced multimedia journalist and communication professional with a Bachelor of Journalism from Ryerson University in Toronto. She is also pursuing Digital Graphic Design at Seneca College.

She is highly skilled in Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Audition, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, iNews, WordPress, Hootsuite, Stage TEN and more.

Currently, Daniela is the News Media Production Specialist at the Ryerson school of journalism, where she specializes in post production for broadcast journalism.

She enjoys assisting prospective and current students, faculty and staff and working on projects collaboratively. She provides technical guidance and support on curricular and co-curricular production work. She also maintains equipment and facilities for the school as well as demonstrates proper use of equipment and software.

Prior to her career at Ryerson, Daniela produced content for Rogers Sports & Media magazines. She was also a writer and photographer for The Eyeopener and Ryerson Folio and videographer for Ryerson TV News. She was the Managing Editor of Digital at The Ryersonian and ryersonian.ca.

Prior to her studies, she lived in South Korea where she pursued her International Baccalaureate at Busan International Foreign School. She also taught English to children at the Nquyen Nga Centre in Hanoi, Vietnam.

On her spare time, she enjoys long walks with her dog and doing photography with her Canon 7D.
